Questions:

1. Your Birth date?

September 3

2. Who’s your favorite gaming character and why?

I have quite a bunch of favorite gaming characters :D. It’s really hard to choose an absolute favorite. If I really had to pick though, it would be a tie between Spyro and Sackboy. Spyro has been my favorite character for the longest time ^^. I’ve loved his games since I was really young. They really influenced the genre of stories I write and even the way I draw. I really loved how colorful the earlier games were. Sackboy is a bit more recent. LittleBigPlanet means a lot to me; I really love how those games inspire creativity. I also like Crash Bandicoot, and all the LocoRoco (especially Chavez, Viole and Kulche) and Phoenix Wright.

3. Would you join the dark side or the light side?

Light side :D

4. How do you think about your self?

I guess I’m a work in progress!

5. Introvert or Extrovert?

Introvert

6. Do you have a disease or any health problems?

I had hyperthyroidism when I was younger but I was treated for it and now I have hypothyroidism instead. It’s easier to treat than hyperthyroidism but I’ll have to take the medication for life.

7. Do you like sports or not? Then explain?

They’re okay. I really like biking.

8. What’s your most favorite action-adventure movie/s?

Does How to Train Your Dragon count?

9. What drawing gadget do you use most of the time?

I always use the Procreate app on an iPad Pro, and a Bamboo Stylus and, sometimes, and Apple Pencil. For traditional media, I like using colored pencils.

10. Any fears?

I’m really scared about losing loved ones.

12. Do you like horror, comedy or romance?

Ghost stories! Comedy is fun too.

13. What will you be in the future?

I might practice medicine or be a healthcare worker. But I also really, really want to write and illustrate children’s books or graphic novels and maybe develop games!

9. What type of natural disaster do you consider most frightening? Earthquakes, tsunamis, tornadoes, hurricanes/typhoons, volcanic eruptions, or something else?
10. What was the funniest or strangest dream you ever had?
11. If you could only save three items from your room and it was burning, what items would you pick?
12. If a zombie apocalypse were to happen right now where would you try to hide?

Back At Last!

1 min read

Hello again!

Wow, it’s hard to believe that nearly seven years have passed since I last updated this journal. When I wrote the last entry I didn’t think I’d be gone for so long. While I did find time to draw, I wasn’t able to finish much. And then clerkship and internship started. With all the hospital work, I barely had time to draw at all.

Now I’m finally free to start posting again. I STILL have to review for the board exam. But drawing certainly helps make studying less tedious.

Given how long it's been, I won’t be surprised if most of my old friends have left... If any of you are still here though, I really hope to talk to you again. :D

... well actually, they haven't :w00t!:! And they never will! EVER!

Plants vs. Zombies is awesome :boogie:. I heard there might be a sequel coming out soon. It would be so great if that was true :D. I'm also excited about Little Big Planet 2 (this game especially! It looks completely amazing!) and Patapon 3. Now if only a new LocoRoco game came out :aww:...

Anyway, those zombies shan't ever get me OR my brains :w00t!:. Exams however... ^^;. That in mind, I should probably not be thinking about games just yet...

I'll be back here soon :D.

I have sore eyes! And I'm proud of it too :D! I'm going to go out tomorrow... and start an epidemic :w00t!:. This journal is infected, by the way :floating:. So if you happen to read this, you're invited to come and join me :glomp:! We shall spread the evil germs and evil eyes and evilness together :boogie:!

Seriously, though... while I'm not out to infect the world or anyone else for that matter, I DO have sore eyes. Sore EYE rather, cause it's only on one eye :O_o:! It looks so weird and creepy and red! When I had it checked this afternoon, the opthalmologist said 'It's the epidemic type' and that I should keep my distance from everyone and everything... or else! Okay, I was exaggerating. He said it was the epidemic type and I have to be careful with what I touch and who I come in contact with and always wash my hands and stuff to keep from infecting people. I missed an out of town team building activity I really wanted to attend because of this, but apart from that it's an experience, I guess. It feels really weird and I don't think I've infected anyone yet. Didn't think it was possible to cry continuously for more than 24 hours without being sad or overly happy or anything :XD:! And out of only one eye too!

I've been gone for a while...again ^^;... I'm really sorry I haven't been able to comment much or post anything for the past few months. This year has been amazing. And not always in a good way. I'm not a fan of posting sad journals, so I'll leave it at that... good stuff has been happening too, anyway. But a lot has changed. Things have been really, really busy ^^;. This sore eyes thing just gives me a little break.

I hope to post something again sometime, though :aww:! Hopefully soon. I miss drawing :D!

(Edit: It's somewhat funny :XD:! Just yesterday, I was challenging someone to a high score battle thing on Loco Roco Midnight Carnival. And I joked by saying that I could beat him even if both my eyes were infected... well, now they are. Karma? :aww: At least I beat him :w00t!:)

By the Beach

3 min read
It was my Grandmother's birthday the past weekend and, to celebrate, we all went to visit her hometown in Unisan, Quezon. With several cousins, even more aunts and uncles, my grandmother and my mother (Papa couldn't come), there were quite a lot of us. And, thus, the trip to get there was a very long, noisy but enjoyable one ! It had been years since I had last been to Unisan. Apart from wanting to be with my relatives, I really wanted to see it again.

It looked exactly the way I remembered it, and even better. Our family has a house right by the beach and when we arrived, it was sunset. Grass had grown on part of the beach, thicker and greener grass than you'd expect to grow on sandy soil. The flowers and trees around the house were bigger than when I last saw them. The beach was not exactly the type of beach you'd see in postcards or find near expensive hotels. It's more rugged, probably a bit dangerous, and overgrown: with vines and driftwood and coconut husks, sharp rocks, corals and shells. It's beautiful despite that, though none of us were allowed to swim.

When the tide was low, my cousins and I explored the beach. There were shells as big as my hand. We found a dead jellyfish as big as a plate, several live sea cucumbers, what looked like a tiny swimming snake (maybe it was an eel?) and a very strange gooey gelatinous creature none of us could identify. It looked a bit like a fat, misshapen slug. We took it out of the sand, cause it appeared to be stuck, and put it back in the water. I also found some marbles and tried to convince my younger cousin they were magical (he didn't believe me, of course :XD:). At night we would stay up really late and have picnics at the beach. It would be high tide by then and we would try to spot the lights from fishing boats as they went by.

I brought one of my flutes and practiced a lot during the three days we were there. I'm just a beginner and don't know any pieces (though it's a Native American flute and, from what I've read, is traditionally played through improvisation, without any written songs) but I made a few things up and it was really, really fun :aww:.

All in all, it makes me want to try accomplishing my resolution to learn how to draw seascapes and water sometime soon :XD:...
